A splendid educational farm-house restaurant (an ex- military barrack) situated on the Passo S. Antonio road going from Padola towards Auronzo, 4km from Danta and the cross-country trails. Set  in the middle of lush woodlands and fields, it’s a great starting point for many walks and excursions. Lunches, dinners and snacks available. You can enjoy tasty “panini” with local products such as speck (cured ham), salami, smoked bacon, or try some hearty meals including gnocchi, polenta and sausages, melted cheese and mouthwatering desserts such as ricotta and wild-berry cakes and  puddings.

 A fantastic excursion on a well-groomed trail either on foot, on cross-country or mountaineering skis or with snow-shoes will take you to “Malga Coltrondo” take the road from Padola heading in the direction of Passo Monte Croce. Turn right when you see the sign for the “Malga Coltrondo” We are open at Easter and at Christmas. Here you can taste some of our local specialities made with our geniune home-grown farm produce. We serve dishes such as “canderli” (bread-dumplings) either cooked in broth or roasted with sauerkraut,  homemade ravioli, sausages, frankfurters and roast potatoes, polenta and melted cheese, including mouthwatering desserts made with blueberries and a selection of local cheeses. We also serve homemade fruit juices.

From Comelico Superiore go as far as Sega Digon turn left, keep to the left, follow the sign “Malga Melin” about 30mins drive.  

Rifugio Lunelli is situated in the area called Selvapiana. From Padola drive towards the theraml spas and it’s about a 3km drive from Valgrande. Here you will be able to admire the spectacular Dolomite Group of the Popera. ( a Unesco world hertiage site) It’s a great starting point for many excursions. Here you can sample many  local dishes such as polenta and sausages and vension.

The hut is situated in an amazing geographical location just below the Vallon Popera and the crest of Creston Popera which make up the Dolomite Group of the Popera.(a UNESCO world heritage site).The views are stunning.
It’s about an hours walk from the Rifugio Lunelli.
You’ll enjoy hearty traditional mountain food and in particular you can savour a local dish called “Mes”.
